After writing Christmas cards all day, I was not sure what I was going to paint , it was about 3:45 PM and I looked out , the sun was going down , and there I knew! my paint is always ready to use at any moment. with this miniature, I took the house out of the scene and concentrated in the sky and the trees . Email me if you are collecting these ACEO or trading cards

I meet my friends at 6AM in the morning, still dark , the three of us and our dogs ,Lana, Reilly and Clancy walk for almost an hour , we have done this for many years , rain, shine, snow whatever the day brings , but the nicest part of our morning is to see the sunrise come up in a good day, and this morning it was that kind of day. I truly enjoy my morning walk with my friends .

Summer evening in Maine
I don't know how I managed to paint all day today , it was a sad day here ,my cat molly who was 19 years old decided to take matters into her own hands so to speak , she was in kidney failure and I had made the decision to put her down today, well during the night she got out of a window and this morning she was no where to be found , I took breaks looking for her , I know that is what she wanted to end it natural in her own way , she was a smart and wonderful cat and we will certainly miss her terribly .She used to be a great model to paint .
This painting was fun to do ,because it had a bit of abstract quality an a bit different for me.

Maine sky 2
A sky can be the most beautiful abstract painting we get from God almost every morning and every night , you never see the same design twice ,the colors can be so beautiful and so unreal you wonder how it happens , I am fascinated with them at times , when I am painting at the farm in the summers in Maine with all my friends we go totally crazy taking pictures of the most beautiful sky over the hills of the farm or over the bay.
I am longing for my summer trips to Maine .

Maine sky over the Western mountains

Today I was thinking about our place in Maine , and wanted to be there , but we are waiting for the snow to be all gone maybe another few weeks . We usually go there by this time but we had an unusual winter this year. so I decided to take out some of my photos of this beautiful Maine sky and painted this 5x7 oil , I am also baby sitting my son's dog a Burmese mountain dog , him and Clancy played all day today right by my easel , a bit distracting , but I managed to pull it off

Morning Sunrise
Too cold to walk today , 0 degree and Clancy is not too happy, he is looking out the window, the sun is coming up and this is what I see out of my window. I actually did this a few days ago before my grand children got up , otherwise they would of been all over my pastels.

My yard is taking over my life , I am sure I am not the only one , it's this time of year ! The mulch the planting, trimming ,cutting ,flowers boxes. Living on Main Street I have a duty to keep the place on top shape , every bone in my body is hurting right now! Oh well that's life.
I have continued my little series of sky scape , they are actually fun to do.
5x7 with a nice acid free white matt ,would look great in a 8x10 frame . $100.00 email me if interested

Maine sky

In Maine for a few days, I love this State! every time I come here I feel like I am home , Even though I was born and raised in France of course I have been coming here for twenty five years , maybe that's the reason ! well this was a warm day today over 90 o degree today .
I worked this pastel from a photo of the many skies I get here at the cabin.I stayed in because , one thing the bugs are out and they are mean!
