Anyone on a sailing mode ? I am sure a lot of boat owners in New England would like to be in their boat right now, with the long winter that does not want to go away , snow is melted but still cold in the morning .
This would make a perfect present for the dad who has everything ,or a friend who dreams about sailing .
just email me nlcasey@charter.net

Sunrise over HHI #2
Very hot today , all the trees bloom over night, amazing how few days of sun can change things .
right now I am still enjoying the beautiful Sky's that I have wanted to do for a longtime.
this one is in South Carolina about a month ago.

Being the first one of the year ,I have a lot to do figuring what to bring ,get all the racks out of the garage and boxes of paintings I have not seen for awhile ,because of all this , all I have time is to paint a miniature .
This scene was where I took the pictures of all the birds in HHI a beautiful sunrise.

Hilton Head island White Egret
What a beautiful sunny day today, still cold in the mornings when I walk with Clancy . Today I went to our local high school NMHS, my young neighbor and two classmate had a class project on world studies , so I went to talk about how it was growing up in France , it brought back a lot of memories living there and going to Art school .This after noon I was a bit press for time so I only painted a miniature of the birds from my last trip to HHI , I would like to do more in a larger format.

Hilton Head sand dunes #2
Painted more sand dunes , fun to do ! this was between cleaning my yard , we are late in this part of the country ,our snow just melted two weeks ago , but it is amazing how the grass is starting to turn green , my chickens are happy out and about in the yard , George the rooster is bit more protective so I have to watch him and make sure I have a stick in my hand.

Shelter cove #2 from Hilton Head SC
Posting from Hilton Head Island for the second week, still on duty here watching my grand children and squeezing a little painting in between ,the landscape is a bit different than New England ,the only thing is ,I find it hard to access the beautiful places with all the private gated communities, and no place to stop on the side of the road , the way I am used to do at home.I found this cove ,where I could paint a few scenes.

Shelter cove Hilton Head Island
The day was beautiful here on the island ,I managed a small painting alla Prima between my trips to different schools. Today my grand daughter turned 13 , so we had a full day of celebrations for her, I also painted her a nice birthday card of a tree with spanish moss, as we drive by this tree she always tells me it is her favorite tree.

The weather has been so great here in New England, I figured by now I would be painting snow scenes ! but I am not complaining because I know the snow will come. With the holidays just around the corner it does not give me much time to paint very large work , but I must prepare for shows to come, until that time , here is another landscape of the Savannah /Hilton Head country side, where I was last week.
6x9 oil on canvas It would make a great present for that special someone! only 10 days left.

Finely was able to paint this afternoon and it felt good! You have fun when you go away but you pay later with all the chores you have to do. I am still on the South Carolina scenes so it came easy to paint a Low Country landscape, I have found over the years if you don't start working on places you just have been visiting, you later loose the interest and motivation.
Here is a Low Country scene of a tree with Spanish moss.
oil on canvas 6x8 $125.00 .
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start collecting originals.
