It was March 11, my daughter had taken me to visit Charleston and some beautiful plantation along the coast, this one happen to be Botany Bay Plantation, so peaceful and serene. We had a great time until we got a call from home talking about the virus. My grand daughter was to get home from NY the next day, and I was to live South Carolina the day after, before it got to dangerous to fly. Well that was the start of confinement, two months later and still at home !
I did paint this scene as soon as I got back .

Anyone on a sailing mode ? I am sure a lot of boat owners in New England would like to be in their boat right now, with the long winter that does not want to go away , snow is melted but still cold in the morning .
This would make a perfect present for the dad who has everything ,or a friend who dreams about sailing .
just email me nlcasey@charter.net
$100.00 matted and free shipping ,this is an original!

I think in every States you can find a nice little house abandoned just like this one, I always feel bad! it's like no body cared, they did not care of the History they left behind, fixed up they can be little gems . Maine has a lot of them I call them lonely houses, this one was in South Carolina where I just visited, the light was perfect on it and I wanted to capture that feeling of a nice sunny day .
All my work is original and go to great distance to capture these scenes .

A little store with Southern charm full of collectibles was my pick for today , it happens to be in the same little town of Bluffton , the name was easy , it was called the Store !
I wanted to catch a nice light on it , like a nice sunny day , in a very loose style .
Feeling so sad today learning about this devastating earthquake in Japan , cannot fight nature ,
very sad !
This watercolor is available email me if you are interested

while visiting South Carolina this past week end ,I took lots of reference photos of the Old South , the historical houses which I love , if the walls could talk in this little guest house !
The progress is coming to this little town , it has changed a lot in the last five years , I hope they keep the quintessence of it , many houses are razed to put a new one , and the Country side is growing with Gated communities .
I think I captured the Spanish moss on the live oaks , some of those trees are just beautiful .
This little gem is available , email me nlcasey@charter.net

HHI, Pickney Island

Another Easter gone by ,the years just go so fast! we had a nice family gathering after the last three weeks being so hectic , it was nice to enjoy and relax today , it was a beautiful day but cold, I really want to see some flowers to start coming , one interesting thing is the maple sugar buckets are out on the maple trees right next to my house , cold nights warm days is perfect for collecting the syrup, I love to paint them every year .
This was a small island next to Hilton Head where I went every morning to see the birds .
5x5 oil mated . email me if interested, nlcasey@charter.net
