Morning sunrise #3

Watercolor 6x8
©2013 Nita Leger Casey
I came down stairs this morning and this was the view out of my  kitchen window, I took the liberty of doing away with some buildings and made it a peaceful winter scene . All this was done before my morning coffee, I love working like this with spontaneity , not planed just do it!
update : knee is doing good still not the full range I want but therapy is helping ,the one thing is not is the cold weather we had last week!

Morning on the pond

Watercolor.9x6 (c) 2012
Nita Leger Casey
I painted this a morning in Maine while everyone was still sleeping ,the sun was coming up the fog was lifting ,it was so peaceful ! I had to work fast,  the scene was changing minute by minute ,no time to think too much and no time for mistake, I was pleased by the outcome !

"Out of my window" watercolor mini 2,5x3,5 (C)
Nita Leger Casey
Came back from my morning walk , to see this sky come up while having my coffee , I couldn't resit the scene. When my friend and I walk in the morning it is still dark at 6AM , my daughter-in-law gave me a light to have on my head just like the coal minors , it's funny but it really helps to see where you are going and with the dogs , so when we get back the day light is just coming up .Today it was not so cold , we are suppose to have a few warm days before we get blasted again! I still like winter with all it's beauty ,I would rather be cold than hot and humid and miserable !
collectors of miniatures, email me if you want me to save this one .
My miniatures come well presented in a card with the history and certificate of authenticity

Sunrise in Morning walk, 5x7 pastel
copyrighted 2009 Nita Leger Casey
I meet my friends at 6AM in the morning, still dark , the three of us and our dogs ,Lana, Reilly and Clancy walk for almost an hour , we have done this for many years , rain, shine, snow whatever the day brings , but the nicest part of our morning is to see the sunrise come up in a good day, and this morning it was that kind of day. I truly enjoy my morning walk with my friends .

My friend and I have been walking around 6:15 AM every morning, and this is what we encounter this morning , we stood there looking at it , it was so beautiful ! I told her that I will go home and paint it right away from memory, by 7:30 my miniature was done , then the day went like a flash of duties of cleaning ,computer work etc... and I had all intention to paint something else . Oh well, tomorrow is another day ! enjoy .

Very hot today , all the trees bloom over night, amazing how few days of sun can change things .
right now I am still enjoying the beautiful Sky's that I have wanted to do for a longtime.
this one is in South Carolina about a month ago.

Sunrise over Hilton Head I am getting ready for a show on Saturday in Westborough, MA to benefit UNICEF. Being the first one of the year ,I have a lot to do figuring what to bring ,get all the racks out of the garage and boxes of paintings I have not seen for awhile ,because of all this , all I have time is to paint a miniature .
This scene was where I took the pictures of all the birds in HHI a beautiful sunrise.

Morning Sunrise
Too cold to walk today , 0 degree and Clancy is not too happy, he is looking out the window, the sun is coming up and this is what I see out of my window. I actually did this a few days ago before my grand children got up , otherwise they would of been all over my pastels.
4x5 pastel matted with an acid free mat
