Antiques
The cold has arrived in this part of the country! Perfect day to stay warm and work on some of my still life paintings. Except for my dog Clancy who wants to go out every five minutes and get the studio cold, he doesn't get it!
Oh well he is a great companion but a bit spoiled.
I took this picture at an Antique show in the fall ,I just loved how the light shined on the pitcher,I had fun painting it . I have done many still life paintings over the years , but mostly watercolors, many have been published in cards and magazines.

Mailing my slide for the oil painters of America took most of my day , the big decisions was if I am mailing the right one ? it was between two slides, one of a landscape and one of a figure, I guess I won't know for awhile if I made the right pick , it is like gambling ! Maybe I should of bought a scratch tickets instead ! everything you do in life is a gamble .
But this little gem of a painting is not a gamble it is a sure thing, it is a 5x5 original oil painting on canvas with a beautiful dark contemporary frame, a wonderful addition to any collection $100.00 email me nlcasey@charter.net
