Morning at Tide Mill I had a busy weekend , went to a anniversary party today , it didn't leave me time to paint.
I still have a few of my plein air at the salt water farm from a couple weeks ago.
This is a 8x10 oil on linen painted before 8 AM one morning.
Portland , Maine

This was a very hot and humid day show ,very well attended. A two hour drive from my house , 300 artists came from all over the Northeast . Four of us that I know from
Daily Painters were there , and it was very nice to meet them in person, Cooper Dragonette, Elizabeth Fraser, Varvara Harmon and myself.
Thank you Eileen for Helping me with the show.

From the parlor window
I have painted this window a few times , I just love the look of these old windows , I have one in my house. I found this one in my travel to Eastport Maine , it was a house that needed a bit of love , many houses in the area need someone to bring them back to life , and many Baby Boomers are retiring and doing just that.
Edward Hopper liked these old windows also.

Eastport cottages

The days are getting shorter , the nights are cooler ,I feel the summer coming to an end it goes so fast like a flash!
I still feel very lucky to reside in this part of the states ,where the landscape is going to change with it's bright orange , red and yellow colors, a must see if you have not visited in New England , it is a painters dream .

The back streets of Lubec
The first week of my stay was at the Tide Mill farm , making it our 15 th year painting in the area, a warm welcome was waiting for us when we arrived. This lovely farm feels like we have come home when the eighth of us get there.
Making my daily paint out in the streets of Lubec, Maine with it's charming cottages and old Victorian houses , and the beautiful seashore .
I am now back home and must sort out all my work.

Lubec store front

The week is going great , the weather has been beautiful, very warm for this part of Maine.
I am in a old building mode of seeing future paintings ,so many have gone by , since I have been coming for 15 years . Many houses I have painted and are now gone by storms, fires or just demolished.I love the history of this old fishing village , and love to talk to the old timers to hear their views and remembrance of the old time.
this is 9x12 oil on canvas paper, I am away from my Email , if interested , please allow 12 more days to get in touch with me.
