On the New Hampshire coast.
Pastel ,Plein air painting 9x12
©2015 Nita Leger Casey
This past Wednesday my friends and I from the Breakfast club ventured out to the coast for the first time this season, after a long Winter it felt good, the temperature was good but a little windy but I did managed to capture these few houses in a short amount of time before the wind got to me. Sometimes it is better not to fuss over a painting and capture the important elements of the shape and light, and that is what happen! I did not touch it after, otherwise I will ruined it.
the Coast of New Hampshire might be small but it is beautiful. This was on "Great Island Common in New Castle,NH

From my studio window I could see a little bit of this Gingerbread design at a distance ,so when I went home a couple days ago ,I managed to find this house in the back streets of Lowell across the canal , the sun was shining on it , perfect subject for me ! as I drive in town every day I see all those beautiful homes , some have been taking care by tenants who love them , and some have not! I think they will be my next challenge , I love old houses !
stay tuned for my oldies .

Campobello Island houses
I am slowly getting my routine back after my painting trip, today i visited some of my friends at a local Art show , the Greeley park show in Nashua, it used to be on my list of show ,but I gave it up some years back due to other commitments ,it was nice to be a spectator for a change.
Next week it will be the other way around when I will be in Portland.
This is a 9x12 pastel painted on location en Plein air .
