Summer is gone ,but wanted to paint this scene from one of our plein air paint out , I did it from another angle that day , this is a cute country store in Hollis a few miles from my house .
I have so many projects going , changing the color of a wall at my studio ,getting ready for open studios the first two week ends of December, and also painting the gallery at the house , I have paintings everywhere on the floor tables etc.. it has been a few years since I did it.

I was on the common by 8:30 to paint this beautiful Antique house in Hollis, NH , last week all my friends painted this one , it was my turn, it was a bit cooler at that time also , I did it fast , because I had a terrible backache , I just wanted to get home on the heating pad , not what I wanted before going on a trip , so when you are in hurry you get loose with the details , I was pleased with it, I missed the socializing of the group painting all together , but I am sure they did fine , they are a wonderful group of friends to paint with .

Hope everyone had a nice 4 th of July, we certainly did with family and friends and a great parade and cook out .
This painting was from my Friday plein air painting in Hollis NH, this small town square is surrounded with beautiful colonial homes , it was a beautiful sunny day with lots of shadows , we all painted different houses , it was fun , I think we are going back next Friday .

Just a beautiful day in New England today! made me join all my Breakfast club Friends in a Plein air painting day in Hollis, NH. about 10 of us gathered around the square and painted this quint village , we all have a different style that's what makes it fun !
I first had a real Breakfast with my family visiting for the 4 th of July, we went to the Midfield cafe at the Nashua Airport , perfect place to take kids to see small planes landing and takeoff .
Well tomorrow it's a big celebration in our town , big parade and a cook out at my son's house with many friends and relatives ,

Red Apples

We have beautiful apple orchards not very far from my house , the season is almost here where we will go pick these apples ,I worked on this from a photo I took a few years ago .
Today I also put up a small pastel show at the Hollis, NH Library it will be there for the month of September.

Artist statement

I am an Artist who has painted most of my life and enjoy every minute of it. My journey in the art world continually evolves keeping up with the time, I paint in many different medium and love them all. My collection of work is primarily in oils and I use watercolors for commissions, illustrations, and pastels for my own pleasure. My love for architecture shows in my work and many have compared my style with Edward Hopper. I feel honored to be compared with such wonderful artist. I paint daily in the studio and plein air when weather permits. I try to paint from life as much as possible. Last year I gave up teaching art after thirty years of private classes and, now enjoy my former student’s accomplishment in the arts. Many collectors around the world own my work and hope many more will in the future.

Handy Hints to Successful Art Buying Online

You can make your online art purchasing experiences a lot of fun, and stress-free, if you just take a few moments to follow some tried-and-tested advice.
These hints will give you the very best chance of finding quality works of art, and receiving the art in perfect condition.

1) If you see a piece of art you like on a favorite artist's Blog, don't be afraid to request a couple more photos of the work. Most artists will happily oblige. You might like to see close-up detail of some section... or perhaps an image to confirm the coloring is consistent.

2) Look for the artist's email address. Apart from a direct email contact, artists often post contact phone numbers. They do this for a reason. They would like you to phone them. So do it! If you'll feel better talking to a 'real person' make the call. But I would always recommend making direct email contact with the artist.It's helpful to have a line of communication from the point when you make your purchase, to the point when the work is dispatched to you. Most artists also would like the opportunity to follow up and ensure the work has arrived safely. Don't simply place your order and make your payment. Take the opportunity to communicate with the artist. It will make the whole process run more smoothly.

3) Consider purchasing more than one piece of art at a time.If you fall in love with the work of a particular artist, consider purchasing a piece and leaving it with the artist. Then, when you see another work by the same artist you wish to purchase, ask for both pieces to be sent together. This will reduce freight costs considerably. Most artists will be happy to hold a paid artwork in storage, especially if they realize it's because you wish to purchase a second piece.

4) Email the artist and ask them if they have any artworks not yet posted on their blog.Some artists don't have the time to post every piece on their blog. Or some pieces are displayed, and then taken down after a time. It doesn't hurt to ask the artist to email images of any works they have in their 'stock room'.... and it can be a way to discover secret treasures.
