I wish my morning at the pond would be like this painting , but no, it was raining today and most likely tomorrow, New England has had it's share of rain this past month, I had all intentions to go out this morning to do some plein air. I think I will have to paint some still life ,if the weather does not clear soon .

This is Victoria in her younger days . Today I adopted two more chickens from an elderly man who was going into a nursing home ,my daughter in law adopted a couple also , they are two Rhode Island red , they are not with the other ones yet , I am waiting for dark to put them in, hopefully the other ones will accept them , they will have to go trough the rules of the old ones , the rooster George will be happy !

Three hens in a chair,copyrighted 2008

These last few days have been so hot and muggy, I have to push myself to do things ,but i did managed to paint this painting of my friend's chicken , she had taking a photo of them while they were relaxing on her favorite chair, this is a typical lawn chair I grew up with in France, remembering that they would collapse very easily! it's funny chickens love to be on things like this , I have a few nice pictures of my own chickens .
