Spring at the beach! it was a beautiful day last Sunday at this beach on the Massachusetts seashore, I am sure the water was too cold for a real swim but enough to get your feet wet and get your tan an early start for summer. Well I am back home from my two weeks in Maine and Canada , it was an 8 hour drive and very tired today , finely unloaded the car , the worst is putting things away! While I was there my post were short , I wanted to write more but between the WIFI not working well ,and being very busy everyday.
In the next few days I will write more about my journey there .

While I was blogging just now , we were called to the barn and watch the birth of a calf, all of us artists had been waiting all day for the event, very exiting to live in a farm for two weeks, lots of happening!

I was just cleaning a box of acrylic paint to see what was still good or not ,before my painting trip to the coast of Maine in a week, decided to check some colors and next thing you know , I had a cute miniature , of course I had been trying to paint all day ,it was raining and dreary all day and the dogs did not want to leave me alone , wanted to go out wanted treats.... .so my day was not very productive.
I actually love these miniature ,because they make perfect present , I gave two this week for birthday presents ,if you are interested in this one Email me comes with a nice card .

Yesterday my friends and I went in town Boston that is, to see a wonderful show on Newbury street at the famous Vose gallery, one of the oldest gallery in town owned by the same family for generations, right now they are showing an exhibit of an a pastel artist Janet Monafo the work was just breathtaking ,beautiful ,a real tour de force , a must see if you are in Boston .

As you see ,I am still playing with rocks, my Cairns are fun to paint, as much as to hunt for the rocks to build them. the weather was great today ,plenty of walks with Clancy also, and fun talks with friends by the camp fire.

Well,don't expect serious work from me this week as I am playing by the pond with rocks as you see! over the years I have picked rocks around the property and made sculptures all over ,they look like little people,when my friends come by they add to the collection .
The weather finely broke , the humidity is finely over!

Another hot day today, but at least I was cool on the pond in my kayak , just came back from a nice ride with my friend Judy ,we were the only ones on the pond with the loons ,we think one is nesting because the other one told us to back off, we did! we are always so happy to see new baby chicks , we are very protective of our loons on the pond ,they are so wonderful to see .

It has taking me two days to get back on track after my trip to the coast , somehow when you go away have a great time ,you pay later with tons of work waiting for you ,mind you when I go away I am working at my paintings , but most people don't see it that way , specially my family , my work is too much fun!

Nubble building in York, Maine While my relatives were here I took them to the Nubble lighthouse in York ,Maine . a beautiful day it was and took lots of photos, this was one of them , i decided to paint the buildings separately, this is #1 ,I love the rocks there , I have painted the lighthouse many times ,the first time was 1984 with my daughter before she went to college ,then another time with my grandson who I used to take to the ocean for the day . The scene is very familiar and very touristic.

My Irish boy!

I was listening to the Boston Marathon while painting this morning , our friends made it and did well.

My good Irish boy was by my side, we didn't walk this morning because of the rain . I picked this photo to work from, this was last summer, he was worried about me while I was in my kayak, keeping an eye on me . If anyone has a Wheaten terrier, will know how they are!

He is a great model.
