Then the weather got very cold snow etc... so i am home working on miniature paintings, this is my neighbors house from our TV room, I love the way the light hits the snow at night .

Mr. Cardinal
Miniature 2,5x3,5 (c) 2010
Nita Leger Casey ,
It snowed all day today, feeding my birds as usual and became fascinated with them , I had so many you would of think they were having there last supper , I replenished the plate 4 times , at one time I could see four cardinals , never close to take a picture all together , but i did get some good ones . The snow ended and now it's rain turning to ice ,I wonder what it will be in the morning . My plan today was to paint something else , but couldn't resit the birds .
email me nlcasey@charter.net, if you are a collector of miniatures or aceo , my miniatures come in a beautiful card and a certificate of authenticity .

Bearskin Neck in winter ,watercolor 6x6 (c) 2010
Nita Leger Casey
I posted yesterday that we took a ride to Rockport , a winter stroll on Cape Ann! the locals had come out for a sunny Sunday walk. If you have visited this little art community in the summer it looks a little different , many shops were not open , I think they open around Easter, when my son Patrick was younger I would take him during spring break just to drag him to all the galleries , he was happy as long we had a meal and ice cream somewhere in town .
Well I think we are finely getting snow tomorrow, about time! the rest of the country had plenty and none here , it is New England !
If you are interested in this watercolor , email me nlcasey@charter.net

The summer cottage , miniature (c) 2010 Watercolor
Nita Leger Casey
We just woke up to a beautiful snow covered beautiful landscape this morning , but it was a messy clean up that took a lot of my day ,I did managed to paint a mini , that was between taking pictures of the birds I feed, they looked so pretty in the snow ,I have a feeder next to my kitchen windows, they are so much fun to watch and observe ,I had nine doves at one time , lots of chickadees and titmouse .
This cottage is somewhere in the North Shore of Massachusetts in the edge of a sea inlet , I took a photo of it because of the red door ,I have a thing with red doors .
