Challenge painting for helping Japan , with DPW, Keiko Tanabe , go to the site for the auction .
Today I was thinking of what to paint for this sad catastrophe , and in TV I kept seeing the boats crashing like toys , looking at my photos I picked a Maine fishing boat , I see these boats every summer in Lubec and I know how hard they work on these boats .
All the proceeds will go to the red cross , so if you want to help, this is a great way to do it , and remembered by having a painting .

Want to go sailing? copyrighted 2008
I am late posting today, I normally do it at night , but was too tired last night after a long day of working on the gallery , clean up time !
I decided to post this sail boat , it was painted in Plein air in the small town of Eastport , I just sat on a bench there in the Marina with my pad on my lap and painted this watercolor ,no retouch , totally alla prima .
it's a 9x12 watercolor , it would make a nice Father's day present . email me if interested , nlcasey@charter.net I will put a mat on it . $100.00 that is a bargain !
