Reflection , by Nita Leger Casey ,copyrighted 2009 , 6x6 oil
the reflection of a simple tree in the water ,just like a mirror is always fun to do .
I cleaned part of my basement today where I keep all my frames ,why does the style change so fast , all gold frames all wood frames all black frames , styles always changing drive me crazy!
the storage the money involve is another thing. But that's the business we are in , It is what it is !
Thinking of going up north the colors are really changing , and I need a few days in the woods before it gets too cold. This little painting would make a perfect present for someone .

Went out plein air this morning , it was cool in the house but beautiful outside, a perfect September day! I live in a beautiful area ,five minutes from my house and the scenes are endless in the back roads of New England . The colors are starting to peak, the fields have the ends of the summer harvest ,this time is short and I must capture the moment .
this was a 5x7 oil on board , $95.00 matted +8.00 shipping .

New England fall
I watched the RED SOX the last four nights , They are the World Champions and I am glad it's over , I need sleep! I managed to paint this scene nearly falling asleep on my palette.
This scene is on my walk inside our beautiful local cemetery. Also worked on my yard today , we had our first frost last night, that means pulling out all the dead flowers , now it will be the leaves to pick up, not looking forward to that .

The Woodland path
Posting between commercials as the game is on , Go RED SOX !
This is a path that goes to the mountain where the bears live , last year I was about 30 feet from one, he came down while I was painting at our picnic table , my husband was talking to me when he said to me BEAR.. , I didn't panic ! I grabbed my camera from the table and walked to get a better shot , he actually posed for me , he was a teenager ,I guess! but big enough, about a month later one of my neighbor bragged about getting his bear, I was a bit sad because he really was a cute one, I might paint him one day from the photo I took.

This is late for me to post a new painting. I updated some things on my computer and became a bit frustrated when I couldn't figure out to open the blogger page.
Anyway I am still working on my cats. Today I will post a painting I painted last week while in Maryland. This tree was located in the Park of the Washington County Museum in Hagerstown.
