I am back ! this is the first time I have taking a break of a week of not painting in four years . Well the gallery received a makeover ,change the colors of the walls , new ceiling lights and other little details , Thanksgiving came ,cooking, family etc... and the time went ,it was a wonderful Holiday for the family, now back to work ! This afternoon I painted this Back Bay scene ,it was on my table for over a week . I have not posted for a few days , my gallery got totally dismantlement with the painter who did my ceiling and walls a very pale Grey , looks very nice ,now comes the part to put everything back together again , also came down with a cold ! no painting time, that is why I am

Summer is gone ,but wanted to paint this scene from one of our plein air paint out , I did it from another angle that day , this is a cute country store in Hollis a few miles from my house .
I have so many projects going , changing the color of a wall at my studio ,getting ready for open studios the first two week ends of December, and also painting the gallery at the house , I have paintings everywhere on the floor tables etc.. it has been a few years since I did it.

A little bit of France today! , a sad day I had to cancel our December trip with Tim just had pneumonia , needs to rest and this winter trip would of been too much, I was looking forward to see my family and spend a few days in Paris , but life happen sometimes you have to change plans , good thing I took the insurance .

Went to the studio to work on this commission , I have painted this scene in Pastel before but someone wanted a watercolor , I am not totally finish with it , should finish it tomorrow , also must do some framing ,so much to do and so little time before the Holiday open house arrive .
Very tired tonight so this is a short post ! until tomorrow my friends !

I just went over the thousand mark! that means I have posted over a 1000 blog post with artwork ,If someone had told me that four years ago , I would of said you are crazy! The challenge has been a wonderful discipline I never thought I could do, I have blogged from every states in New England, Maine, Mass, NH, Connecticut then South Carolina , Maryland , Illinois from France to Canada , on business trip, vacations ,workshops , from the top of a mountain 14 below zero, the cost of Maine sitting on the edge of the water , a hotel in Paris a resort on Hilton head Island , reunions, family gatherings ,my paint goes with me along with my camera and laptop . I have talked about my life my experiences my family ,my pets and the weather and of course my paintings . I have received wonderful comments from my followers who make my day , like this morning from Doloris . Painting is an addiction and I love it!
I painted this little scene today with a bit of a sad note, I just had bough tickets to go to France to visit my family before Christmas , But Tim being sick we had to cancel , We will try for Spring !
A typical town square , my nephew use to have a book store in that town of Jargeau.

Rainy day today ! we were lucky many areas had snow in New England .
Picked up Tim today from the hospital , good to have him home ,my painting time took the back seat this week ,so for today it is a miniature I had started this summer at the farm, I just did some miner touch up to it . Should get back to my routine , also have lots of framing to do for a few shows coming up , never enough time in a day for me .

We had open house at the studios today , so while I was greeting guests ,I was also painting and demonstrating ,talked to a lot of people, to some it was their first time coming in the building and they where so surprised to see the amount of art in one place , I must say I have not myself found everyone because of the size .
Hopefully my husband will come home from the hospital tomorrow , life should get a bet easier with the trips back and fourth and my poor Clancy missed his dad !
I did managed to finish this watercolor , it is somewhere on Cape Ann , a wonderful art colony outside of Gloucester. email me if you are interested .

Not posted for a few days , we came back from our trip in Maryland to have Tim having to go to the hospital with pneumonia ,so my trips have been back and fourth there ,he is doing a bit better keeping him for the week end .
I painted this on our trip last week the fresh laundry at the farm , that day my little grand son also painted along with me ,it was fun !
