"au Clair de la lune " or by the light of the moon , when I say cold ,I mean it was cold last night -12 degree and right now at 7 pm it is only 1 degree . While I was in Maine ,I also painted many miniatures , this is one of them last week's full moon, I painted this little one as the moon was rising in front of me.
We came back yesterday in a major heat wave, took me all day to empty my car of all the stuff I take up there , in between I scanned all the painting I did there , many have not been posted on my blog , some will go to some shows first. My flower garden is a disaster , weeds everywhere ,
lost one of my chicken , she was nine years old the heat was too much for her, she had a good life, but I will miss her .

The rain much needed came today, the flowers need it , but it sure made a dreary day , a great day to paint after my morning cleaning . Clancy was asleep all day a bit depressed after Bosley left yesterday , that is my son's dog , I was watching him all week, they had played so much during the week both young and full of energy ,of course they are like kids ,you have to watch them every minute , one time Bosley got a hold of a yellow tube of oil paint ,he had it all over his face and paws ,that was a job cleaning him !

oil 5x7 . it is so beautiful when the moon is over the water.

Harvest moon

Last week the moon was so big that I am still painting scenes from memory ,

I am so happy to live in this part of the States where the landscape continually changes, every time I step out of the door, I find a new scene with a different color palette in mind.
