Maine Rocks.

Just a little bit of Maine rocks . ©2016 Nita Leger Casey .
I had a pastel board with a no so good painting from a couple years ago, so I decided to add some texture to it with some Gesso and grounds for pastel, when it dried I could see rocks. Being so familiar with those rocks ,that is what I painted !
Also today I started a larger painting at my Atelier, a full  pastel sheet of a house I have admired for years in Pemaquid , exited to go back tomorrow and finish it .
This 5x7 is available , just email me nlcasey@charter.net

Cape Porpoise, Maine

Original watercolor, Postcard size  5x7 ©2016 Nita Leger Casey
Here is my second small painting of the year, my husband and I drove there to this cute Village  the week before Christmas. Cape Porpoise is located On route 9 pass Kennebunkport , I think it is part of the town. I  have always liked this small village with a couple restaurants and Galleries. I decided to do it in watercolor, for the past year I have neglected my watercolors, I have used it but mostly for commission work where I do a lot of details ,but my goal is to stay loose for these small post card size. email me if you are interested , nlcasey@charter.net

Somewhere in Maine

watercolor 5x7  mated and framed to 8x10
© Nita Leger Casey
I just love this little painting and really wish someone would give a small space, on a nice wall in their house for it to find a nice home, specially if you are a regular in Maine, like in the Kennebunkport area ,you might of gone to that shop .I always say most painting will find a collector, sometimes it just takes time, over the week end I sold one I had painted 10 years ago, the lady who bought it was very happy . This one is $150.00 framed, free shipping in the US .email me if you are interested ? nlcasey@charter.net

While  I have been recuperating from my knee surgery I sometimes  want to paint and yet i can't seem to get started with all the PT I have to do, but today a rainy Sunday really  made me do it, first I was looking through all my photos and trying to decide ,I came upon the girls at the farm I had visited this summer, a farm where I  have spent 18 summers before  and very found of the great Moo cows who produce this wonderful organic milk sold all over the State of Maine.  So it was a nice warm up for today!
This painting is for Sale $100.00 free shipping for cyber Monday!
