Think Spring , miniature 3x3 watercolor (C) 2010
Went on the kayak today, between showers ,the pond is up after all the rain we had ,hope the loon nesting will be OK , Judi and I went to checked on it, but the water was rising this afternoon .going home tomorrow , to get ready for the pastel show in Manchester and the paint out in Kennebunkport on Sunday, another busy week after that.
When my mother passed away a few years ago , we all divided mementos from the house , and this bowl was one of them , she used to keep the sugar in it ,but when I was young it was in a china cabinet, I really don't know where she got it , but I always liked it! so the other day when I was looking for a small vase to put the white azaleas flowers ,it made a perfect still life for it.

Gardening with my brush these days also with shovel , I just came in from planting flowers in front of my house , living on Main street ,I must have a good appearance , we have the 4 th of July parade going by in a couple weeks . I love to plant but don't like to weed , my peonies are beautiful , I wish they would stay in bloom longer .
Beautiful day today in New England , sure feel terrible for the people in the Midwest with all the floods , hope the weather will clear for them .
We drove back home today in a scorching heat and high humidity, only June ! might be a long hot summer.
Today I met with my usual art friends for breakfast , always nice to see them and discuss art related things, what show is coming up ?what outdoor show is next? when are we getting together and paint? did you see this on the Internet ? just a few things we talk about during our weekly meeting, some of us have done this for the last 20 years.
