I came upon this house last winter while taking a drive on the coast of Maine , I just taught about Edward Hopper at that time, it reminded me of some of his houses he painted , over the years I have painted many houses that way, I called them lonely houses !

That red gives it some cheer. It's a lovely house and a nice, loose painting. I have out my green roofed barn this year. (It got lost in my china cabinet for a year.) So happy to have it out.
