Linda's laundry
pastel 8x10 (c) 2011
Nita Leger Casey
While painting in Maine I really zoomed on laundry lines ,everywhere I went in the small back roads everyone had their fresh wash out , they're something so nostalgic about it , remembering growing up ,that was the only way we dried our clothes and it used to smell so good . This new generation will never know this feeling unless you still live in Maine , like the saying go " the way life should be " .
this is a pastel painted on location at our wonderful retreat ,Thank you Linda for hanging your wash out !
painting is for sale email me nlcasey@charter.net

Wonderful painting! Thank you for the memory jog. I also remember the clothes on the line, it was standard in our house too. And the smell, that wonderful smell!
