We went for a ride to Plum Island for a nice fall drive , it was high tide so the Marshes were not as pretty as I wanted for picture taken , but the colors were very pretty all the way there.

Tonight our local Library had a wine testing affair as a fundraiser, the wine glasses had an etching of the library , my artwork! it was exiting to see these beautiful glasses in every one's hand .

Yesterday my friends and I went in town Boston that is, to see a wonderful show on Newbury street at the famous Vose gallery, one of the oldest gallery in town owned by the same family for generations, right now they are showing an exhibit of an a pastel artist Janet Monafo the work was just breathtaking ,beautiful ,a real tour de force , a must see if you are in Boston .

At the edge of the pond in fall,copyrighted 2008 We are back home after a nice five days in Maine where the colors where just the most beautiful, I just love New England in the fall!
I managed to paint plein air paintings everyday and it felt so nice to be outside .I also worked on some larger work , will show later.

I went out plein air painting this afternoon on the road to our cabin , it was just beautiful almost past peek , only a week left before some wind will take all the leaves down, it was so peaceful !

The show was nice, the whether was a beautiful September day , but the costumers did not want to buy ,I think Wall Street was on their mind! so all my beautiful paintings went back in their bags ,back in the car to a ride home and back to the studio, I really wanted them to find a nice home. Oh well! that is the life of an artist ,

Another beautiful September day,worked on a commission part of the day, and do some framing for a show on Saturday in Dunstable MA , my fourth year doing this show in a beautiful property in the center of town called Seasons at Calmore, a real first class Antique shop, the weather should be great!

This was the first time in a long time when I have not blogged everyday,I had a good excuse, my husband and I when to a Military reunion in Hartford Connecticut , we had a wonderful time with old friends and no time to paint ,but I did visit a couple museum in Hartford who where very impressive with wonderful collections. The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of art was one of them and the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington , with a collection of Monet, Degas,Cassatt, Manet ,Whistler and more , these paintings have never left the property, they are to stay in the same spot where they have been for the last 100 years, a place to visit if you are in the area

September cloud, miniature ,copyrighted 2008 When I was in the fields and about to clean my paint brush yesterday, this big white cloud came up I quickly managed to capture it in a miniature, when clouds come this way you only have minutes to do it ,the scene changes so fast.

Went out plein air this morning , it was cool in the house but beautiful outside, a perfect September day! I live in a beautiful area ,five minutes from my house and the scenes are endless in the back roads of New England . The colors are starting to peak, the fields have the ends of the summer harvest ,this time is short and I must capture the moment .

Where did the week go , it went like a flash! the weather has cooled off, this morning I had to put gloves on when I was walking the dogs .The fall is here in New England ! I just had to paint these pretty bags of Kate something! My daughter in law is really in to all the bags so does my Grand daugther ,and I am lucky to get one from them on special occasions.
