Today, I was busy all day , started with taking Clancy for his shots, he was not too happy about this, also the Vet informed me that deer ticks don't dye after the frost , and to watch for them all year , after getting Lyme disease this summer , I am a bit nervous!
Around noon I went to hang a show with a few friends , it's a holiday show at a small gallery in Hollis ,NH . the opening is Thursday night , if you are in the area stop by.

I was cleaning an old pastel box when I found a painting, I started couple years ago , I had totally forgot about it , so I decided to play with some colors and change what was started and went wild with some colors just doing the scene from memory , sometimes we try too hard to get the exact colors in front of us or copy a photo exactly.

I painted this early this morning ,inspired by my morning walk with Clancy ,I walk with two other friends and our dogs for an hour each morning, the morning sky is always so nice that I want to go paint right away,a great way to start your day!

Yesterday, I decided to give my blog a new look , I had the same look for the last two and half years, hope it won't be confusing for anyone .
I decided to not post any more chickens , they was too many on Daily Painters ,and way too many in my yard right now , but I do enjoy watching them!
After going to the pastel show on Saturday ,I felt like doing more , so here is another one of a scene on the coast of Maine .

Yesterday my friend and I went to the New Hampshire pastel society meeting , a very nice group of people working hard to get all the members together from all over the State , we had a demo after from a young talented woman Dawn Gardetto who's work is just beautiful .
Today I managed to do a bit of cleaning in the flower beds .

Well, a year ago I painted chickens , and will again for a week , Right now in my yard I have seven roosters and nine hens most are from the spring batch, not all mine , my neighbor and I

share them all, they are the most beautiful birds, the sad things is some of the roosters will end up in a pot before winter ,not my pot! because I am too attach to them .

Ocean Avenue fall colors,copyrighted 2008 Yesterday , My friend Sue and I brought some paintings for the pastel member show in Kennebunkport ,after delivery, We had a nice lunch downtown then took a drive down Ocean Avenue , the fall colors along the ocean were very nice , mostly all different bushes and berry's .

later drove along route one all the way to Kittery , many stops were made to take that special photo . We made a nice day of our painting delivery.

I just change my computer ,I am not doing well with the change of Vista , so different then my old one ,I am spending so much time trying to get my files , photos etc..
I am still working on my fall scenes , soon it will be over, my yard is covered with leaves,Lots of work ahead to get rid of them .
I just love this farm and have painted many times at different seasons .

The weather has gone crazy in parts of the states , Snow! Oh no ,not yet, fall is not over!
Well tonight I painted this nice fall scene in front of an audience at the Chelmsford Art Society, it went very well , I also talked about blogging and many other art related things , I could of talked all night with a very nice group of artists .

Beautiful fall day here, I made a turkey dinner today to cheer up my husband ,also had my family over but in between I managed to paint this scene, I took a photo of it last week while coming back from a painting day , I love the colors and the reflection of the trees and the color of the weeds in the water,if you are familiar with New England , you know a scene just like that .

I have had another duty these past few days, to be a nurse to my husband , he is doing fine now, but we definitely had a scare , diabetes is an horrible disease , hope they will find a cure soon .
This painting was also done in Maine , a path where I usually walk with my dog Clancy.

My life has been very busy these last few day with some family emergency , my husband in the hospital with some health issues , He will be OK ,but the next few days I must take care of him first. the skies in September and October are very dramatic and just beautiful.

I am just about finish with a large commission ,after this I really want to go back outdoors while the leaves are still on the trees and capture the last beauty of the season, I am also still having computer problem , I had bought a new one and after three weeks of problem with this new machine ,I packed the whole thing and returned it to the store and picked a different one .I just hope this one work the way it's supposed to.
