It's a look I have seen at our pond many times , I could paint the pond hundred different times ,because it never looks the same ,I am dying to go to the cabin ,but they still have snow on the ground in Northern Maine
Finely a nice day today ,buds are on the trees finely and the first jonquils are out .
Wishing everyone a nice Easter week end !

Fall in Jaffrey, NH. copyrighted 2008
Beautiful fall day here, I made a turkey dinner today to cheer up my husband ,also had my family over but in between I managed to paint this scene, I took a photo of it last week while coming back from a painting day , I love the colors and the reflection of the trees and the color of the weeds in the water,if you are familiar with New England , you know a scene just like that .

Back from a few days in Maine, did not have much time to paint except for this little guy, I used to give classes every day in my studio and every year my students used to enter the Duck stamp contest , every States has one , it was a lot of fun for them , they became very competitive , many of my students used to get top prizes for this , The awards was given at the State House in Boston , a real honor! this duck really reminded me of the many years we did this .

Paysage de France

I am getting ready for the show next month , I will have in Portsmouth, NH at the Robert Lincoln Levy gallery. Yesterday I drove out there 140 miles round trip to see the room I will share with two other Artist, we each have a wall, my show has a theme , "The Back Roads of France" I just ordered my cards , today I ordered the frames , All this takes time! the show for me, is a culminations of work done every time I visited my Mother these last few years before she passed away at the age of 100 . If you live in the area be sure to visit the Gallery on State street the month of April , I will update this blog on the show , a few more times before it happens.
This scene was on my morning walk there, a small duck pond, a very serene pasture.
