Happy st Patrick's day

Ryan's beach on Dingle Peninsula
watercolor 8x10
copyrighted 2012
A little bet of Ireland  on this Special day! If you are Irish you will understand it!  I am not but after being married to an Irish man I feel like I am. I painted this scene last year on location when we went there about this time and had a great week there .I call it Ryan's beach but it's not the real name ,it's where they made the film Ryan's daughter year ago in the 70's
so to all my Irish family and friends ,have a great day !
this painting is available for $100.00 email me if you are interested , nlcasey@charter.net

Tim and I have spent a wonderful week in Ireland, great weather and visits with family just not enaugh time to do all the things I wanted to do ,paint was one of them ,I did do a lot of sketches.
and took lots of photos and of course lots of driving ,The drive we took today around Slea head was out of this world to see the beautiful cliffs and beaches ,this was where Ryan's daughter was filmed years ago .I really would love to come back with some other artists and make this a painting trip only.

Dingle Peninsula ,copyrighted 2009 by Nita Leger Casey
oil on canvas , 6x6
Just another painting of Ireland , as we are getting close to St Patrick day , where everyone is Irish in the US , Well I do have my Patrick , he was born two days after St Patrick day 34 years ago , I always like the name even growing up in France , of course I say Patrick with a French accent , it was always a joke with his Friends . This scene is on the Dingle Peninsula in the southern part of Ireland , where they speak Gaelic still.
enjoy my memories of Ireland !
