Fort William Henry, Pemaquid beach Maine
Pastel 10x10 ,copyrighted 2011
Nita Leger Casey
The first week my relatives visited ,I did take along to the Maine pastel painter's retreat , they were able to visit the area while I was painting and learned a little bit of American History at the same time , this Fort William Henry was very interesting , it could of been French at one time ,but the English won! if you ever visit the area it is well worth the trip to see and take the tour , one of Maine 's State park . Going to the retreat is also nice because we stay at the beautiful Antique Hotel Pemaquid with lots of history as well .
I truly enjoyed painting this scene, the weather was great ,and later that day this painting got critiqued by the group , all good marks! my Maine friends are so nice .
It is for sale $275.00 matted and shipped .
