Ice out #2

Ice out #2 sold
Pastel 6x8 ©2017
Nita Leger Casey
Decided to do another scene of my Sunday drive, the ice going out is always nice with these strong colors and  perfect for a pastel, I did it early this morning before I get carried away with the endless list of chores I have to do. It was a beautiful day today, like 85 degrees, last week we had a foot of snow.

Summer cottage

pastel 6x8
Summer Cottage ©2017
Nita Leger Casey
Raining most of the day made me paint something to be happy, like thinking of a cottage in Maine that I painted before in a watercolor, but decided to do a pastel this time. It was just enough time to be in my studio and then have lunch with a few friends, made the day go fast!

Winter stream 2

5x7 pastel on board

Nita Leger Casey
Winter is over almost everywhere, but here in New England we still have snow as some places, soon to gone if I listen to the weather channel. Warmer weather is suppose to be coming!   this little scene is from a conservation land not too far from my house , where I have painted many scenes .

Latest commission

My latest commission
the boys! Pastel 16x20
©2017
A very enjoyable commission of two beautiful dogs ,I didn't have the best photos to work with, but knew they often sat together. The parents liked it! So that was the best part. When I do pets ,I like to do them in pastel.
