Shadows on the road , oil miniature (c) 2010
Nita Leger Casey
When you drive in the back roads of New Hampshire ,this is what you see , lots of shadows crossing the roads , lots of snow banks and sometimes some colorful foliage, it sure made me stop to take a photo . It was another very nice day today , I tried to find a place to paint in plein air,, but all the places I wanted to paint , they was no way to park my car for a long time , so i contented myself just to take many photos of the beautiful winter landscape , later Tim and I drove to visit some relatives we have not seeing in a long time , all in all a good day !

"Hollis barn " (c)2010 miniature oil on canvas board ,
Nita Leger Casey
A beautiful winter sunny day today, started my day with the usual walk at 6AM, still very dark at that hour , but my daughter -in-law gave me one of those lights you put on your head , they are great! especially now that we have ice on the sidewalk , it melts during the day and freeze at night, Clancy is pretty good he knows not to pull at that time .
Now as for today , if I was a male artist I would of gone painting out in the snow all day , but as the women I have to clean, do laundry, walk the dog shop for food cook ,post office run etc... and then I squeeze a painting, well today I was a bit mad about that, just not fair! At least on my way to the store I took a picture of this barn in the next town , of course over the years I have taken dozens of photos of that same barn ,but it always look different . In 10 days i will be at snow camp for three days and will be painting with no interruption .
As previous this a miniature that come well presented .email me if you are interested. nlcasey@charter.net

Having fun still painting small, at least I am painting daily! in a week I will be a snow camp for three days in the white mountains of NH painting in the snow with Stapelton Kearns , I just looked at the list of clothes I should bring , a bit scary ,I guess you have to be prepared to be out all day and your feet to be the most important to keep warm , suggested these special boots , so I think I better go shopping .
I needed to make a card for my son's birthday and this was his old dog Buster, I printed it as a card ,but now I still have the original to sell , email me if you are interested. nlcasey@charter.net , go back a few post to see how i present the cards .

"Out of my window" watercolor mini 2,5x3,5 (C)
Nita Leger Casey
Came back from my morning walk , to see this sky come up while having my coffee , I couldn't resit the scene. When my friend and I walk in the morning it is still dark at 6AM , my daughter-in-law gave me a light to have on my head just like the coal minors , it's funny but it really helps to see where you are going and with the dogs , so when we get back the day light is just coming up .Today it was not so cold , we are suppose to have a few warm days before we get blasted again! I still like winter with all it's beauty ,I would rather be cold than hot and humid and miserable !
collectors of miniatures, email me if you want me to save this one .
My miniatures come well presented in a card with the history and certificate of authenticity
